Hi
Does anyone have a medication tag or something similar to list all the different drugs they are taking? I was wondering if I should be carrying something in case of an emergency
Thanks,
Sue

Hi Sue
Funnily enough, I posted a similar question ages ago. I think we all agreed that we should have some form of ID tag/piece of jewelery detailing our drugs and they can be bought in various places.
I must admit, though, to never having done anything about it. However, I always carry my prescription list (the half you get to keep when you had in the form to the pharmacist) and this has everything on it. I figured that if I was in an accident and on my own, my handbag would be the first place they'd look.

hi Sue,
no i don't have a Tag,
i was told to keep my Methotrexate book that my bloods are logged in with me.
but will be coming off of this soon,
so i think what Kathryn has suggested to keep a copy of my Prescription with me sounds a good idea.

That's a good idea, but don't forget to add any injectables (ie mtx, anti TNF's etc) to the list.

I have my Humira card and a prescription. I've crossed off all the non essentials on the scrip and just left the really important ones. YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

I have a steroid card and Cimzia card which I keep in my purse but the prescription idea is a good one as well, except mine is rather bulky due to many meds!

Hi I wear an SOS bangle, a paramedic friend told me if your in an accident they always feel your pulse, so it's the best place to have ID. Something worn round your neck could be missed. Just a thought...........................Kathleen x

agreed, the prescription list is a great idea, I did write a note for my handbag when I was first diagnosed, saying I had RA and what my current meds were but I don't know what I've done with it, this is a good reminder to do something about it again. .....eve

I was thinking exactly the same thing on Monday whilst sitting in the hospital waiting room. I can't use my repeat prescription form as half my meds are prescribed by the hospital and half by the GP (I've never really understood this!) however I think I will write a list and out it in my purse. I might also look into a medic alert bracelet as I notoriously bad for going out without my bag or purse if I don't need it (or can get away without taking it)
